- Self assess. What this means is we have to know ourselves first – our strengths, what we want to achieve, our product/service/company.
- Know your “enemy”. To have the upper hand, you’ve got to know your competitors like you know yourself, what are their strengths, etc.
- Plan your moves. Always know your resources and data. Do your research and calculations so you know what can and what cannot.
- Go with the flow. It’s always easier when you move with the currents. We are now engulfed with technology and AI. Use them.
- Be the last man standing. You only fail when you give up. It’s not going to be easy, never was for anything. You have to persevere to see success.

If I am someone that loves things that are sweet, I may go for desserts or gifts. Interests play a big role in persevering and not giving up.
I do research to find out what’s in demand, the trends, and keywords. This helps me to narrow down and know which niche I should think of venturing into in each category.
I have to calculate my ability to supply products/services; the quality and quantity in each niche, as compared to the strength of the competitors. I dive into the niche that was calculated as a better percentage of success rate.
Looking at the niche product picked, I have to consider what type of digital marketing works for it, hence the site to push my digital marketing. For example, if my products are books, text works well and I may use Medium, Twitter and Podcast but if they are cakes, a picture will say a thousand words and I will go for Instagram, Facebook and YouTube.
Don’t be a Jack of all trades, be a specialist. You don’t have to be able to know how to perform all the different types of digital marketing but make sure you be an expert in what works for your chosen product/service.

With modern technology, we can use AI, artificial intelligence, to source and mine for data. The AI can be programmed to gather data which gives companies valuable extensive insights.
We can use AI to churn contents too. AI can be programmed to collect data of your choice and then create stories or articles for posts. Do remember to add a human touch to it.
People, in general, are impatient. Many have lost their clients due to a delay in responding. With AI to chat, this can be avoided as they can be programmed to answer regardless of day or night 24/7.
The above are but some ways AI can be used for digital marketing. Remember, it takes time to build so perseverance is the key to success.
