Have you ever noticed that you suddenly start getting advertisements and some more random stuff related to what you browsed on your phone some moments back?
Sometimes Assuaging and sometimes aggravating, these popping advertisements give a clear view that someone is trying to get into your mind. Only thought about that is enough to leave you sleepless for the next few nights.
Setting our Mobiles and other gadgets under App locks and phone locks is not enough to get privacy anymore. Because of some enterprises and browsing platforms, we frequently know everything about us or maybe more than we know about ourselves. From our interests to our dislikes, to the places we want to visit for our following holidays, and about the people we would be meeting today, they might know everything.
Every weird thing we searched for pleasure while we were under the attack of “Mood swings” never got deleted, even after clearing the browsing history. It’s enough to give you chills under the spine. So for the next, if you think that you have a secret which No one knows, it won’t be Legit because there might be someone who knows about what you’re going through.
Thinking more and more about this patronising thing, the question arises: “Why is Google Spying on us?”
Platforms like Google own many other Daily use Applications that have a strong tenacity over the users’ convenience. Easy to use and have many users, these applications have started framing their users virtually. They are framing us or profiling us based on what we browse over the internet daily.
Getting to know our likes and dislikes and our location is enough for them to frame a user’s basic profile. Tracking our personal Information and having a Rough idea about our life searches helps them create a Virtual profile of the users. Google devices and Androids work like “cherry on the cake” for them.
Facebook and YouTube also play a significant role in forming this Frame. The videos you are interested in and the people you are befriending are all known to them. It might be possible that they are peeking into your inboxes to learn more about you. This Grip over our data is menacingly horrible also.
But why do they need to Envisage us?
Google and other Applications Affiliated with Google are also a huge platform for dealers and Advertisers. Google plays a significant role as the Miners to get the data to Advertisers and make money from there. Using free services provided by Google, Google maps, Facebook, YouTube, Snapchat is not what Google is earning from. Still, it is making by becoming the intermediate between you and the Advertisers. Using your data and selling it to the Business world is something called “Data mining”.
But thinking otherwise, It doesn’t seem Unfair many times.
FREE SERVICES PROVIDED BY GOOGLE
Making money out of your data without Sharing any shares or interest payments with you personally might sound unfair, but we might be wrong.
By using our data, Google and other Apps might be making money from the Business sector. Still, in return, we are also getting many free services from Google, which would’ve required some kind of subscription if this data mining didn’t exist. And also, in return for our data, we get many juicy deals we are happy to have.
So now this seems to be a fair deal.
But again, how to believe that Google is not digging anything else from our life. The Information’s mentioned hitherto is the Information we allow Google to collect. But is Google collecting Information we don’t allow them to order?
DATA MINING, A THREAT TOO!
Google does have access to your Gmail also to dig out your purchase information. But accessing data from the Gmail accounts was not part of the terms and conditions provided by Google. There are not allowed to peek into the personal emails of the users without any permission granted. It is a direct threat of losing very private data and leaking sensitive information, which can be misused any day.
DON’T SKIP THE AGREEMENTS
Google stealing data is not something new, and Google did it from ever, even this is only the income source of Google in providing free services. But why it suddenly started haunting us? Many cases of leaking essential Information have been reported all over the globe by different countries. But do we know that “we” only signed the agreement with Google and allowed it to steal our data?
While making a new account over any of the Google platforms, google always seeks permission to access your gallery, sound records, camera and much personal information, which we always agree to do. In simple words, we cannot Allege Google here anymore because we bluntly agree to all the terms and conditions of it.
A BRIEF ABOUT WHAT DATA HAVE YOU FREELY GIVEN TO GOOGLE.
According to the terms and conditions we agreed, Google already has access to yours.
· Phone’s Gallery
· Sounds and recordings of your mobile
· Your contacts
· Your online friends
· Your search history
· Your location
· Your purchases
· Your health data
We can save our data from getting stolen by using the counterparts of all the Google Apps. But the truth which leaves us floundering over the facts is that today we can’t just disappear from this google trap. Our lives rely so much on these apps now.
Finding any location in any strange place is as easy as biting an apple just by Google Apps. We might criticise Google for stealing our stuff. Still, we have accepted that in return, Google is providing us with an effortless reach over millions of attractive deals, which eventually are profiting us.
Moreover, many small advertisers are getting an excellent platform in the face of Google to advertise their authentic stuff and take their businesses online to attain a good reach.
We can’t Deny Google, but we can manage the data that Google will use.
